DTCC, a securities clearing and financial consulting firm, will be hosting a blockchain conference on the 29th of March. The symposium, called “Blockchain: Tapping into the Real Potential”, will focus on distributed ledger tech and its transformative impact on financial systems across the globe.
The symposium features a wide array of speakers from regulatory agencies, investment banks, and venture capital firms. Blythe Masters, CEO of Digital Asset Holdings, will be the event’s keynote speaker.
“Featuring industry thought leaders, technology experts and policy makers, we’ll cut through the hype, discuss collaboration and use cases and imagine what innovations the future may bring.”
Commissioner of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, J. Christopher Giancarlo, will present on the regulatory risks and potential complications that may arise from moving portions of the financial system on the blockchain.
Barry Silbert, CEO and Founder of Digital Currency Group, will also be participating in a debate on the future of blockchain technology and how it relates to the internet bubble in the nineties.
While the lineup of speakers looks quite impressive, the registration fees aren’t exactly cheap. Clients of DTCC and government officials get a discounted rate of $595 per person until the 19th of February. While Industry participants pay the full price at $795 per ticket.
The symposium is scheduled to take place at the Grand Hyatt hotel in New York.
