MandelDuck Starts Development On SaruTobi Android Port

Popular Bitcoin gaming app Sarutobi has been quite successful on the iOS platform so far and Android users have been waiting patiently for their chance to play. It looks like the long wait is close to over, as the development of SaruTobi for Android has finally begun. However, development does not come free, and the team is collecting donations to show support for their project. Plus, SaruTobi T-shirts are now available for purchase as well.

Donations For SaruTobi Android development

Even though the foundation has been laid to port SaruTobi from iOS to Android, development of the game for the new operating system will take some time and money. Especially that latter factor could be an issue for small companies as there is no major investor to make note of in the case of SaruTobi.

Bitcoin enthusiasts who want to play the game on their Android device can show their support for the development and directly donate to the development team. There are no details revealed as to how much funds the company would be looking for, but it is important to keep in mind how most of the donations would be distributed back to players. For every donation made, players will receive an amount of SARUTOBI in exchange. At the time of publication, the conversion rate was 10 SARUTOBI per US Dollar spent in donations.

For those who are unaware of what SaruTobi is all about, players help a monkey fly through a variety of levels while collecting Bitcoin along the way. The money players pick up can be used for in-game powerups to increase their distance covered and compete with their friends. Needless to say, more playtime result in more in-game rewards to collect.

One of the main reasons why the development team wants to bring SaruTobi to Android as well as iOS is because they hope to spread the word on digital currency this way. More educational efforts are needed in the world of Bitcoin, and by letting casual mobile gamers get acquainted with digital currency this way, the efforts of the company should be applauded.

But the development of an Android version is not the only bit of news, as Mandelduck has announced SaruTobi T-shirts as well. Different designs are available for men, women, and kids, starting at US$18.40 per shirt. Do keep in mind all of the shirts are sold through Spreadshirt, and VAT may be applicable for customers outside of Australia.
