iOS App Satoshi Informs Users On The Bitcoin Price And News

Educating people about Bitcoin and giving them access to the latest news is an important cog in the machine to take cryptocurrency mainstream in the coming years. Satoshi is a new iOS app that aims to achieve that goal, as they offer a Bitcoin price overview, as well as a newsfeed and calculator.

Bitcoin Education For iOS Users

With more and more mobile device users leaning towards apps these days, content creators in the Bitcoin world have to rethink their business strategy. Although most websites are mobile-ready regarding scaling and content, having a mobile app available to users might be worth exploring further.

Satoshi, as the application is aptly named, is targeting the iOS crowd on both iPhones and iPads. The primary goal of this application is to inform users about Bitcoin, and more importantly, the current Bitcoin price without having to download a separate application. Sounds like a good idea on paper, but there is more to Satoshi than just that.

Although it is great to see this app giving users the option to denominate the Bitcoin price in their preferred currency, Satoshi offers users a calculator tool as well. Such a nifty tool can be used to convert any Bitcoin value to local currency, or vice versa. Some people may have no use for it whereas others might find it useful.

Last but not least, there is a dedicated news feed, which aggregated the latest Bitcoin headlines from various news sources. Despite the best efforts of developers, more news sources may need to be included in the future. However, it is quite positive to see this feature being added, as there are sources other than mainstream media for Bitcoin news.

Whether or not these types of applications will be beneficial to Bitcoin adoption, in the long run, remains to be seen. However, there is a growing demand for applications to check news and obtain information. At the same time, it has become harder to make one’s app stand out among the rest these days, and without the right promotion, only time will tell how many downloads Satoshi will get in the long run.
