3D Printing is a disruptive technology that allows for the creation of all sorts of objects. You might be surprised at all the shocking objects that you can 3D print, some of them being cars and human organs. However, how much would it cost and how long would it take to 3D print famous life sized landmarks?
Tonergiant has compiled an infographic which shows exactly how long it would take to 3D print the Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, The Great Pyramid of Giza, and other famous structures. The calculations were based on an average home 3D printer. Furthermore, the data also contains the amount if would cost to create such landmarks which is an interesting factor to keep an eye on.

While 3D printing is proving useful in smaller sized tasks, building large structures is still out of reach for traditional 3D printing methods. No doubt that as the technology progresses we may in fact see 3D printers used for speeding up building production. Furthermore, as 3D printers can use all sorts of materials we may see a shift to using more sustainable components in house building.
