End The Satoshi Nakamoto Manhunt Already

The mysterious creator of Bitcoin – known by the name of Satoshi Nakamoto – keeps sparking the imagination of people around the world. For some reason, it is of great importance to figure out who created Bitcoin and its blockchain technology, although the person or group responsible for this creation does not want to be the center of attention by any means. Granted, it’d be good to know who created this incredible ecosystem, but is it a top priority?

Leave Satoshi Nakamoto Alone

There are various theories to be found on the Internet regarding who Satoshi Nakamoto is. Some people feel it is the NSA who created an ecosystem that works completely off the grid of traditional finance. Others feel it is could be any random person on the street, showcased by various media claims to have identified Satoshi Nakamoto throughout the years. However, none of these claims have ever been validated, and media agencies have made fools out of themselves in this regard.

As Bitcoin and the concept of digital currencies start to gain more attention, the age-old question regarding Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity is revisited once again. A recent article on Sputnik News mentions how mistaken identities of Satoshi Nakamoto have been hunted down by journalists, only to return empty-handed.

One thing people should start asking themselves is whether or not it matters to know the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. Granted, the person or collective responsible for bringing Bitcoin to people all over the world deserves praise, statues, and perhaps even a Nobel prize. But people seem to forget the real Satoshi Nakamoto might not want to be found in the first place.

Bitcoin is a difficult concept to grasp, and its mysterious creator doesn’t seem to be helping matters much in the eyes of mainstream media. After all, why would someone capable of creating a financial ecosystem remain anonymous? The answer to that is simple: not everybody wants their fifteen minutes of fame, as the real people who do good in this world remain out of the spotlight.

Whoever or whatever Satoshi Nakamoto may be, all people should care about is the financial ecosystem created out of “thin air”. Bitcoin was created at the most opportune time, and it is slowly starting to gain traction. More efforts should focus on educating people about the benefits of digital currencies, and not about who may or may not have created Bitcoin in the first place.
